Off roading at the weekends
Meet Andy Bailey, our senior estimator for film and graphics. Andy only started with us last year but has become a vital member of the team in very quick time. Andy came on board to help ease the burden for estimating and pricing but his role is now busier than ever, thanks to the fantastic enquiry levels that we are experiencing.
Andy’s a very keen cyclist, cycling in from home most days (even in the bad weather!) and he has found a passion for long distance off road events, taking him all over the Southern Counties.

His latest ride was a 36 miler through the New Forest. He, and two fellow friends, finished in 3 hours and 18 minutes. This course was flatter than his previous event in March which he entered on his own and took him through 36 miles of the Sussex Downs. A gruelling 4 hours and 40 minutes didn’t put him off this tough leisure time activity; only inspiring him to do more!
“I’ve managed to sign up for the South Downs Epic on June 24th which is 44 miles, the Chichester Challenge on the 8th July for another 35 miles and the Falling Leaves ride in October for 40 miles” Andy says with a big smile on his face. “I just love it and I’ve met so many like minded enthusiasts in such a short time. It’s very tough riding but gives me a great sense of achievement when I finally finish!”
Andy is even managing to squeeze in a long distance marathon walk in aid of Help for Heroes campaign. He is walking the 26 miles Spire to Spire walk from Winchester to Salisbury this September, to help raise money for our service heroes.
Bonwyke’s MD, Chris George, comments: “all of the team work extremley hard during the week so where Andy gets his energy from to do these rides and the practice I just don’t know, but hats of to him for all of his efforts and it’s great to have him on board with us.”
