He’s at it again…
Not content with jumping off Twickenham’s South Stand Nik has just completed the Liverpool Marathon in aid of the Stroke Association. His time was a very respectable 5hrs 07 mins for a first timer.
Nik put in a tremedous amount of preparation for the run, starting his training regime back in June, gradually building up the miles as he went along. He changed his diet to suit the demands of endurance running losing over two stone in the process.
Nik raised over £3000 from this event bring his total raised for the charity to over £6000. Nik’s devotion to helping stroke victims is born from his wife’s stroke attack back in 2010. Sue continues to improve her condition and is a born fighter but they are both very proactive in wanting to help others and to help with further research into the condition.
Who knows what he’s going to achieve next but everyone here at Bonwyke will continue to support him and are very proud of his efforts.
