Project Description

Client: Willmott Dixon

Location: Cambridge, UK

Products: ProLam, Cut Graphics, Digital Wallcovering

Bonwyke Design were commissioned by Willmott Dixon to brand GE’s Offices in Cambridge. For the office glazing, the task was to apply subtle designs to achieve privacy while letting plenty of light pass in to the rooms. One of our most popular materials, Opal Frost, was used as a privacy band which diffuses clarity but lets through lots of light.

The walls were covered in ProLam in what we considered high traffic areas. Because of the laminate properties of this product, meant only this layer would come in to contact with people brushing by leaving the print surface untouched.

In muted areas, Digital Wallcoverings were used to fully dress the walls. As opposed to ProLam with its satin finish, a slightly rough surface was chosen to eliminate as much reflection as possible. This is particularly effective to reduce the glare from light sources.
